Patrice R. Webb

Patrice Webb joined Heineken USA, Inc. as Director of Government Relations in January of 2007 after being a consultant for several years prior. She began as the Western Region Public Affairs Manager and was based in Los Angeles California.

In her current capacity, she holds responsibility for coordination of Legal, Marketing and Sales teams toward creating and communicating state policy positions of the company in all 50 states. She also represents company interests on various industry coalitions across the country and manages key national community partnerships.

Prior to becoming a 1998 graduate of Towson State University, with a major in Political Science and Philosophy and a concentration in conflict resolution, Ms. Webb was selected as a National Spokesperson and Organizer for the “Truth” campaign, initiated by the former Governor of Florida, Lawton Chiles. After two years, she joined the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation staff where she built and managed numerous programs to increase the Foundation’s corporate sponsorship through strategic philanthropy. She then went on to fundraise for several congressional races.

In 2001, Ms. Webb was chosen as a National 911 Organizer for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and successfully embraced the challenge of being a national spokesperson while the PATRIOT Act was being reviewed and revised. She handled public education of the changes to civil liberties through self-built bipartisan coalitions. While at the ACLU she also advocated on behalf of Racial Profiling policy remedies and the re-authorization of the Voting Rights Amendment (which protects the right of African-Americans to cast a vote) as well as many other civil liberties issues.

In 2006, she joined Free Press, a national non-profit telecommunications policy organization, as Director of Government Relations. Her main focus was to work closely with key capitol hill committee offices to develop policy changes for the 2006 telecommunications re-write bill and in particular the issue of “net neutrality,” which provides equal access to the Internet.

She now resides in Washington, DC and is currently on the Board of several organizations including the Washington Government Relations Group, California Latino Caucus Institute, South Bay Chapter of Surf Rider Foundation, and the DC Chapter of the ACLU.
