Yvonne A. McIntyre

Yvonne McIntyre is Vice President of Federal Legislative Affairs for Calpine Corporation. In this capacity, she is responsible for developing, managing and implementing the federal legislative and regulatory strategies for the Company. She lobbies Members of Congress, the Administration, regulatory agencies, and their perspective staff on various issues, with a particular focus on energy and environmental issues. Ms. McIntyre has worked in the field of government relations for 15 years and in the power industry for 21 years. Prior to Calpine, Ms. McIntyre was the Director of Federal Affairs for Mirant Corporation for three years; she was a lobbyist for Kansas City Power and Light for two years and for Detroit Edison for four years. She has worked extensively on issues relating to national energy policy, Clean Air Act issues, and tax and other issues relating to renewable energy technologies.

Ms. McIntyre began her professional career with Detroit Edison in 1988 as an electrical engineer working in power plants and distribution systems service centers. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, MI and a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in International Business from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

Ms. McIntyre is a member of various professional organizations and supports several social and community organizations as well. She serves as a co-chair of the Energy Special Interest Group of the Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment and is the Immediate Past President of the Washington Government Relations Group. She formerly served as the President and Vice President of the Shepherd Elementary School PTA, Vice President of the Takoma Children’s School Board of Directors and as an active member of the Board of Directors of Women in Government Relations.
